Football Combines: What they are and what they offer

A football combine lets high school football players show off their natural athletic ability with specific timed/measured events like the 40-yard dash and vertical jump. But, unlike a football camp, there is no instruction or teaching involved.

Reasons to attend a football combine.

• ·The main reason to attend a football combine is to get measurable information about your skills. Verified statistics are important for your player profile, so getting timed in the 40-yard dash or shuttle run, or having your vertical jump measured at a combine can be beneficial. Verified combine results posted on a profile page from a trusted third party like Phase 1 Sports can be extremely valuable to college football coaches. As we have many relationships with college recruits who contact us asking who’s who that train with us.

• Combines can provide good, measurable information about your athletic ability, which can help you see how you measure up against other football recruits. Knowing what you need to improve on can help you when competing against other athletes for football scholarships.

 

How many combines should you do?

You should attend at least one and not more then 2 in a year. But you need to attend the right one. College coaches are going to want the data from the combine, but they are going to want accurate data! We’ve seen some combines that are poorly run and the info most likely isn’t accurate. This Combine will Be all you need!

WHO: 8th-11th graders 

DRILLS to perform:

- 40 yard dash
- Pro Agility 5-10-5 drill
- Broad Jump

- Vertical Jump

 

Skills Drills and video footage to attach to scores.

 

We will also need your last season highlight hudle game film.

 

To help in recruiting we will send all of these stats to college coaches/recruiters that we have personal relationships with. We will be honest and realistic to which college division we feel you are able to play at.
